The Distance Learning Centre (DLC) is a Government institution in Sri Lanka , dedicated to providing high-quality education and professional development. Established in 2002 as a World Bank initiative, DLC operates as a fully state-owned institution under the Ministry of Public Administration,Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government.
What is this qualification?
The Higher Diploma in Management & Information Technology is designed to equip learners with essential skills and knowledge in the fields of Management & Information Technology, in alignment with SLFQ Levels 03 (Degree 1st Year) and 04 (Degree 2nd Year). This higher diploma is awarded by the Distance Learning Center (DCL) in collaboration with the Australasia Academy.
The program aims to address the increasing demand for a skilled workforce in the fields of Management & Information Technology while providing aspiring professionals with the opportunity to build successful careers in this dynamic and ever-evolving field.
Course Outline
The study program is based on the semester system, and an academic year comprises 02 semesters. A semester consists of 16 – 21 weeks of academic Activities. Thus, a 02-year Higher Diploma program will consist of 04 semesters of study.
